Practice Log

Due Every Monday

 

Home practice is critical for student success in band and orchestra. Therefore, students are required to complete a log of their practice every week. Grades are determined as follows:

120 minutes = A

100 minutes = B

80 minutes = C

60 minutes = D

40 minutes or less = F

Along with the record of minutes, a parent signature is required for full credit on the practice log. This is to ensure that students are actively practicing at home with the support of their families. A missing signature on a practice log will result in the loss of 1 out of 10 possible points. A late practice log will be docked 1 point for every day that it is late, with 3 out of 10 points being the minimum grade. Late practice logs are always accepted within a grading period.
